The Painted Sky Music Festival had intended to return for its fifth season, this July, to bring you another colorful array of chamber music with a twist events to Northern Arizona. However, after Co-Artistic Direcotr, Michael Sullivan, lost his battle with cancer last June, we debated long and hard, to determine what the most thoughtful and appropriate future for Painted Sky would be. And, in close consultation with his family and friends, we have decided that we can not continue the festival operations without his vibrant, humorous, creative energies. This was a collabartive endeavor from the start and simply did not feel right without its charismatic founder at the helm. However, we know that Michael's spirit will live on through the legacy of concerts and friendships that he created during his brief though large life. All of the contributions which our funders so generously allowed us to keep while we determined the future of the festival, will be returned. However, we are recommending that our donors redistribute these funds to the scholarship that was set up, at Northern Arizona University, in Michael's honor.Contributions can be sent to:
